About John
John Settle joined American National Bank and Trust Company in 2016 with over 30 years of experience guiding clients in growing, managing, protecting, and transferring wealth.
Settle most recently served as Senior Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Advisory Specialist at Wells Fargo Private Bank, where he and his team helped families and businesses meet their financial goals. Previously, he served as Managing Director in the Private Wealth Management area of SunTrust in Richmond, Virginia. A graduate of the University of Richmond earning both a BS and MBA, he went on to graduate from the Southeastern Trust School and the Executive Leadership Institute at the Virginia Bankers Association.
Settle is a past President and Board Member of the John Tyler Community College Foundation and a past Investment Committee Member of the Cameron Foundation. He currently serves as Chair-Elect/Treasurer of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce and is the incoming Chair of the Trust and Wealth Committee of the Virginia Bankers Association.
