Danville, VA American National Bank and Trust Company announced today the appointment of Amanda N. Gilbert as Financial Center Manager of the Westlake Office located at 12930 Booker T. Washington Highway in Hardy.

Gilbert, a 13-year resident of the Smith Mountain Lake area, has 14 years of retail banking experience. She worked most recently as an assistant branch manager for HomeTown Bank and previously as a licensed financial services representative for SunTrust Bank.

"Amanda is well-known for the level of exceptional customer service she provides, and we are ecstatic to welcome her to our American National family of employees," said Michelle M. Gaydica, Senior Vice President-Retail Banking. "Her proven skills and leadership will enhance our talented team already in place at our Westlake Office."

Gilbert is a member of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, she enjoys spending recreational time on Smith Mountain Lake and traveling. She also attends Mount Ivy Christian Church in Moneta.
