DANVILLE, VA – American National Bank and Trust Company, headquartered in Danville, Va., has announced the following employee changes and promotions.
Southside Region (Martinsville, Collinsville, Ridgeway):
E.C. Jordan, Senior Vice President & Regional Executive for the Southside Region, will retire as Regional Executive, effective Dec. 31, 2012. Jordan will, however, continue in his role as Senior Vice President, working on a part-time basis through 2013 in order to support American National’s succession planning efforts. In this part-time role, he will continue to report to Cabell Dudley, Executive Vice President & Chief Banking Officer for Virginia. Jordan has 40 years of service in banking and joined American National in 1999 as City Executive when the Bank opened its Martinsville Office. Since then, he has led the development of more than $100 million in loans and more than $60 million in bank deposits. Jordan was also instrumental in creating a Trust and Investment Services Office in Martinsville, Va.
William (Bill) L. Kirby, IV, will be promoted to Vice President & Area Manager, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Kirby will assume the entire management responsibilities for the Southside region and will report to Dudley. Kirby is an alumnus of Emory & Henry College as well as Drake University School of Law. He joined American National in 2010 as an Assistant Vice President & Relationship Manager at the Martinsville Office.

Central Region (Lynchburg, Bedford, Lovingston):
Lisa A. Grishaw and Stuart C. Evans will both be promoted to Assistant Vice President, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Grishaw and Evans will continue to serve in the role of Relationship Managers for the Lynchburg market. They each have experience in both deposits and lending. Grishaw joined the bank in 2003. She has served as Relationship Manager since 2009 and has completed her second year of Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) School of Bank Management. A Virginia Tech alumnus, Evans gained experience in the insurance field before joining
American National in 2008. He assumed his current role as Relationship Manager in 2010 and has completed his first year of VBA School of Bank Management.
“Lynchburg is a very important market for us,” said Haley. “It is our responsibility to develop outstanding employees like Lisa and Stuart, who are committed to meeting the banking needs of the Lynchburg market.”
Brandon D. Atkins will be promoted to Vice President, effective Jan. 1, 2013, and will continue to serve in the role of Operations Risk Manager. An alumnus of the University of Virginia as well as Averett University’s graduate program, Atkins joined American National in 2008 at which time he worked in the Audit Department. He also served in commercial relationship management before assuming the role of Operations Risk Manager in 2011. Atkins is a 2012 graduate of the VBA School of Bank Management.
