Debra Creasy Carlson joined American National Bank and Trust Company in 2009 after practicing law in Danville for 18 years. Her current title is Senior Vice President & Senior Trust Officer.

 

Debra received both an associate degree in Liberal Arts and an associate degree in Business Administration in 1984 from Danville Community College. She then transferred to the College of William and Mary and received a B.A. in Government in 1986. Later she graduated from the Mississippi College School of Law in 1989 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) and from the University of Denver School of Law with an LL.M (Masters of Law in Taxation) in 1990. During her years of practicing law, her focus was on real estate and estate law. She has served as an adjunct professor at both Danville Community College and Averett University.

 

Debra has earned her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification and is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute’s Personal Trust School. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of South Central Virginia Inc. and the Danville Science Center and as a member of the Wednesday Club. She has served for many years as a member of and on the boards of numerous other local organizations. Debra is not affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

William (Bill) Clingempeel has 30 years of investment experience and was most recently with BB&T in Roanoke, Va. He holds a B.S. and MBA in Finance from Virginia Tech and the following certifications:  CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and CFS (Certified Funds Specialist). Bill is an investment expert and experienced portfolio manager. He helps individuals and corporations alike in developing and maintaining a portfolio to meet individual investment goals. Bill is not affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

Wayne has over 28 years of experience managing trusts and trust departments, with a concentration in the areas of trust administration, investment management, estate settlement, trust compliance and business development. Prior to joining American National, Wayne worked at Regions Morgan Keegan Trust (Union Planters Bank) for many years, first as Vice President of Personal Trust Administration and then as Senior Vice President and Manager of several Trust Centers.

A native of southern Illinois, Wayne graduated from Southern Illinois University and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. He has served on many foundation and endowment boards and estate planning councils and has taught American Institute of Banking courses, including Basic Estate Planning, Principals of Banking and Negotiable Instruments. Active in the community, he serves as a charter member and past board member of the Danville After Hours Rotary Club, as a member of the Danville Kiwanis Club and as a board member and Treasurer of the Danville Area Humane Society. Wayne is not affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

Christopher W. Gibson joined American National Bank and Trust Company as part of the merger with Franklin Community Bank in Franklin County, Va., where he served as Financial Advisor with Infinex. An alumnus of Radford University, Christopher has more than 18 years of experience and has held positions at several financial institutions, including J.C. Bradford and BB&T. He also serves as a member of the Estate Planning Council at Ferrum College.

Jeffrey D. Gignac joined American National Bank and Trust Company in 2014 as a Trust Associate. Previously, Jeffrey practiced public accounting for four years at Harris, Harvey, Neal and Co., LLP, serving Danville and the Southside region. While in public accounting, Jeffrey served individual, corporate and small business, and estate planning clients through tax planning advice and tax preparation.

Upon graduation from Virginia Tech in 2010, Jeffrey completed all parts of the CPA exam, earning his license in late 2011. Since joining American National, Jeffrey has successfully completed the Cannon Financial Institute's Personal Trust three-course program in addition to earning his CTFA certification. Jeffrey serves the community in multiple capacities, including as Treasurer for Danville After Hours Rotary and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History.

Teresa O. Maddox joined American National Bank and Trust Company in June 2005 and has 23 years of experience in the trust and trust tax area. She is currently serving as Assistant Vice President & Trust Officer.

Teresa is a 2008 graduate of Cannon Financial Institute's Personal Trust School. In addition, she completed Cannon's Personal Trust Graduate School in 2011 and has received additional training through attendance of various other seminars and classes. Teresa’s experience includes estate planning, trust and estate administration, and investments.

In addition to her professional career, Teresa is involved in various community activities and very involved with her church. Teresa is not affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

Lorrie Teegen joined American National Bank and Trust Company in January 2004 and has 37 years of experience in the trust field.

Lorrie is a 1987 graduate of the Cannon Trust School at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and the Advanced Administration of Estates and Trusts School. In addition, she has successfully completed the Cannon Personal Trust Graduate School and Trust Tax School. She has received additional training through Cannon Financial Institute and through attendance at seminars and classes sponsored by various organizations. Lorrie’s experience includes estate planning, trust and estate administration, and investments.

In addition to her professional career, Lorrie is involved in various community and professional activities. She is on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer for the Martinsville Cemetery Association. Lorrie is not affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

Sid Little joined American National Bank and Trust Company in 2011 as part of the merger with MidCarolina Bank, where he had over nine years experience. Sid led the conversion of MidCarolina Bank's investment services business to Raymond James in 2005. Prior to joining MidCarolina, he worked in the securities business in Greensboro for 24 years. He is series 7, 8, 63 and 66 licensed and also carries a North Carolina life and health insurance license.

Jon Paul has been with American National since 2009 and has worked in the financial services industry since 2007. He is a native of Danville and attended Virginia Tech.
