FAQ's for Reissued Cards

Your new AMNB contactless debit card replaces your existing card. Your old card will no longer work as of May 20, 2022 or once your new card is activated and used for the first time. You may continue to use your current card until the new one arrives. Therefore, please activate your new Visa Debit Card as soon as possible to avoid transaction interruptions.
Yes, your card number has changed and once activated, you will be prompted to set up a PIN. This can be the same code you have used previously. We encourage you to update your card information for any merchants with whom you've set up  automatic bill pay.
No. Contactless technology requires the merchant to first initiate the payment, and the contactless chip card must be held in close proximity (1-2 inches) to the terminal for a transaction to take place.
Yes. Since your new card has a new card number, expiration date, and security code, you will need to ensure the information is up to date for any automatic transactions. Some larger merchants may update your information automatically through our partnership with VISA, but we recommend you verify your card number to ensure no payments are missed.

When calling the card activation number, please verify you are following the below steps.

You can verify your information by calling us, via our Messaging Feature within online banking and mobile app, or visiting your local branch.
  2. You are entering the last 4-digits of the card number correctly
  3. You are entering the 4-digit expiration date correctly
  4. You are entering the last 4 digits of the SSN associated with the name on the card that you are activating.
